When the main character's son is diagnosed with a tumor, she prays and leans on God—his first surgery turns out to be very successful, and her enthusiasm in her faith grows even greater. But unexpectedly, his tumor recurs two years later and becomes precipitously worse. She can't help but feel resentful. But through being judged and exposed by God's words, she realizes that her faith and everything she's given up and expended have been to receive blessings from God. She's been cheating God and conducting transactions with Him. She deeply regrets this, prays and repents to God, and becomes willing to submit to His rule and arrangements. After some time, her son's condition miraculously improves, and she genuinely thanks God from the heart.
